This package contains operating-system-specific sets of optimized drivers and storage management software for HP P2000 G3 Modular Smart Array (P2000) products. These software bundles have been tested and released for the Software Support CD to ensure proper installation and functionality. This software bundle is built using the same technology as the HP ProLiant Support Pack (PSP), which uses HP SUM and HP software Smart Components. This software bundle is a supplement to the PSP, rather than a replacement for the PSP and may contains driver files that are newer than the latest available ProLiant Support Pack version. Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the Emulex Storport Driver, Fibre Channel Adapter Kit for the QLogic Storport Driver, and HBAnyware Utility

  • The driver installation with this Smart Component requires a minimum Windows Server 2003 SP1, SP2, or R2, along with the Microsoft Storport update, KB932755.

  • Apply the Microsoft Storport update (KB932755) before installing or upgrading to this version of the miniport driver. For boot installations, Windows Server 2003 SP2 install image is required first, followed by the KB update.

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot is not required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.

Installation:

This bundle is delivered as a self-extracting executable. If you received it in this form, execute it to extract the bundle into a new folder.

Primary Installation Method

  1. Run the SETUP.EXE program included with the Software Bundle.
  2. Click the 'Install' button to proceed with the installation.
    Note: Even when selected, only software that is appropriate for the system it is being run on will actually be installed. After installation of the appropriate software, the utility will display its results, including indication of software successfully installed, software not needed for the current system configuration, and any installation failures.

Command Prompt Installation

  1. A BPXXXXXX.CMD file is also provided with the Support Pack for use in installing the Support Pack from a command prompt without user interaction. As with the HPSUM.EXE program, all software appropriate for the system it is being run on will be installed.

Free Device Driver Downloads

The dothillbackendname value specifies the name of the storage pool or vdisk on the array. The volumebackendname option value can be a unique value, if you wish to be able to assign volumes to a specific storage pool on the array, or a name that's shared among multiple storage pools to let the volume scheduler choose where new volumes are allocated. Issue: For Fibre Channel systems connected directly to the server, the QLogic 8 Gb FC driver version 9.1.9.25 on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 does not see LUNs when the array is set up for point to point. Workaround: Upgrade to the latest driver version available.
